As part of Staff Development Program, Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya had two opportunities whereby staff from BMMK Secretariat attended different workshop in order to broaden their knowledge, skills and develop their personal qualities required to meet up with the challenges faced in the world today.
TRAINING IN BUSINESS SKILLS FOR CREATIVE ENTERPRISE
Br Ammar Nyawa, attended a 10 days crash course in creative economy in media (Radio, Television & Internet), Public Relations and Advertising, Graphic and Web Designing, Performing Arts, Wood Works e.t.c conducted by the British Council in Mombasa from April 4th - 15th , 2011
This interactive training started by laying the foundation of self recognition of the participants, i.e. knowing ones values, goal setting, defining success, and setting up the vision and mission.
Thereafter modules on Business Development and Planning, Managing Employees, Marketing, Financial Management and Intellectual Property Laws were extensively covered. These modules were tailored to suit the ‘creative’ in their various capacities.
Challenges faced in the field of creative economy were shared and solutions provided by the very qualified facilitators who were ever ready to offer assistance.
