Sheikh Abdillahis’ Monthly Lecture - Origin of Shia Islam
After recitation of the Holy Qur’an, Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir delivered a very informative speech discussing the origin of Madh-hab Ahlul Bayt; on Saturday 17th September 2011 at Bilal Hall, Mombasa.
Addressing a congregation of mu’minin, Sheikh defined shi’ism and outlined the first time the term was coined during the Holy lifetime of the Prophet (s.a.w.w).
His speech cleared up some misconceptions that shi’ism began after the demise of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w).
Sheikh Abdillahi Nassir urged the congregants to follow the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and Ahlul Bayt citing that these are the two weighty things that the Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.w) ordered Muslims to adhere to.
The one-hour program ended with the recitation of dua by Sheikh Sajjad Musa and ziyarat of maasumin from a student of Zahra Madrasah – Mombasa at around 5:25pm.
Niyaz was distributed and the congregation dispersed thereafter.
