Meeladun Nabi (S.A.W.W) 1434 AH / 2013
To mark the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.w), Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya organized a grand function on 2nd February, 2013 at the Bilal Hall, Mombasa.
The function attracted muslims from all corners of Mombasa and its environs including madaaris.
Qaswida were recited by students from Madrasah Amirul Mu’minin Matuga, Madrsah Swalihin Kisauni and other Islamic institutions.
An informative speech by Sheikh Rijali Bwana Rijali, articulated the topic on prophet hood from
Prophet Adam to Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.w).
MEELAD UN NABI SEMINAR
The Mission, for the first time organized a Meelad – un Nabi Seminar, at Samburu Secondary School on 17th February 2013, where 20 secondary schools were invited, with individual number of students summing up to about 900. The Theme of the seminar was “PEACE and UNITY” reflecting of the Life of Prophet Mohamed (SAWW)
Ustadh Salim Chimvatsi, spoke on “The Spread Islam”
Sheikh Musa Shali, delivered on “Peace and The Prophet’s Leadership.”
There was a question and answer session after the lectures. Many questions were posed from the curious students on the prophet’s leadership in comparison with the current leadership.
Local leaders from the area, teachers and other opinion leaders expressed their appreciations to the mission for organizing such a forum.
“…We all know that Islam stands for peace. Peace is the main component of Islam and is one of the most important things we need to carry on with our day to day activities….” Said the Principal Samburu Secondary School
