Water Supply to draught stricken centres
The long drought periods have adversely affected most parts of Kenya, leaving many water sources dry. Lack of this vital commodity had threatened the lives of many residents from the drought stricken areas.
In an attempt to avert an inevitable disaster, Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya in conjunction with
well-wishers, supplied tanked water to Al Hujjah Centre, Chengoni on 1st March 2011.
The problem of fresh water supply at Chengoni was made worse when the main water pipe supplying water to lower part of the Coastal region was under repair for close to a week.
The community benefited immensely from the supply of fresh drinking water not to mention that the same was utilized in ablution.
