Bilal Muslim Mission of Kenya has been a driving force in uplifting Shia Muslim communities
LIVE GOAT SCHEME
Our Economic Upliftment Program has been proactively working on the Live Goat Initiative. Building on previous achievements, efforts were expanded to support 13 Independent Centres in May 2024. 141 goats were distributed to 47 beneficiaries, with each recipient receiving 2 female goats and one male goat. Recipients included widows, orphans and disabled individuals.
TRAINING OF ENTREPRENEURS
Under the economic upliftment, we have held various entrepreneurship training and workshops targeting youths and women with our centres. These training aim to equip them with skills to start small medium bussuness or expand their ventures.
MICROFINANCE LOANS
A total of eighty-nine people have benefited from the group. The amount of money channeled towards boosting small-scale business is 2,295,000/-. Some of the businesses include Kiosks, Poultry, Rentals, Tailoring shops etc.
