A season of grief and reform in which we pay tribute to Imam Hussain (A.S) and his divine army. Majaalis are organized at the Bilal Hall in Mombasa and all 15 Bilal centres in and around the coastal region. In addition to distinct martyrdom dates commemorated, the majaalis are sectioned into the first ten days, culminating in the Day of Ashura, Ashara Sajjadiyyah, and Zainabiyyah ending in the Day of Arbaeen. Processions are organized in Mombasa City and in rural areas to raise awareness about who Hussain is and what he stands for.
